Upon progressing Genshin Impact’s The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent world quest to a point where you are introduced to the day and night cycle, and the second trial, you are given a task to gather three fragments. Hidden behind other world quests, under The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent quest.

One such quest is Dreams in the Gaps. Upon completing this quest, you will receive one of the three fragments that you need to complete the second trial. 

During the quest, you get to a section where you have to activate a mechanism to open the gate to the Secret Room holding the fragment.

Dreams in the Gaps: Activate the Mechanism and Open the Gate to the Secret Room

In this section of Dreams in the Gaps world quest, you will find a Day-Night mechanism, along with a Triangular mechanism that you have to activate in order to open the gate to the Secret Room.

You can activate the Triangular mechanism only during Evernight. In case Enkanomiya’s world state is in Evernight, that is the sun is active. Use the Day-Night mechanism to switch to Evernight.

Once that is done, attack the Triangular mechanism to activate it. Doing so will unlock the door to the secret room.
