Elden Ring: Oi You There – Boc The Invisible Man Quest

Get through the Oi You There - Boc The Invisible Man quest in Elden Ring with no problems with this guide.

Oi! You there! Could you help us out, cully? If you hear those words while roaming East Limgrave, you’re about to start Boc The Invisible Man’s quest in Elden Ring.

This side quest is among those that are not pivotal for the main story, but it does bring a nice perk that you receive after completing it. Once you’re done, Boc will become your personal tailor, allowing you to adjust the appearance of your equipment without paying the usual 500 runes.

If that sounds good, let’s dive into our Oi You There Boc The Invisible Man quest walkthrough.

How to Start the Boc the Seamster Quest in Elden Ring

To start the quest, you will have to locate Boc off the road northeast of the telescope icon in East Limgrave. When you hear him speak, you should look for a small reddish tree—that is actually Boc since he’s been turned into this shrub.

To release him from the spell, you can just hit the tree with your weapon. Boc will appear and explain that he was forced out of a cave and give you some mushrooms as a thank you. He will also offer to bring you something more valuable if you have the patience to wait until he goes back to the cave on the shore.

In the Cave

After that interaction, you should head to the Coastal Cave map marker. There, you will encounter Boc one more time, but he’s in a bad shape. He warns you about an enemy in the cave, but if you want to progress the story, you will have to fight the Demi-Human Chief.

Once this mini-boss is felled, you will get Tailoring Tools and a Sewing Needle, which you should give to Boc. This will reinvigorate his will to live, but there’s nothing else for you to do here.

How to Finish the Boc the Invisible Man Quest in Elden Ring

To finish this quest, you will need to travel to one of these locations—Lake-Facing Cliffs, East Raya Lucaria Gate, East Capital Ramparts, or Altus Highway Junction—and rest at the Site of Grace. Boc will appear, and you will be able to alter your garments for free.

Still, to complete the quest fully, you should get the Gold Sewing Needle at the Church of Vows (Eastern Liurnia) and at least one piece of legendary armor from Finger Reader Enia (Roundtable Hold) and then speak about Boc with Melina at a Site of Grace.

When you encounter Boc at the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace, you can have a conversation with him about the Erd Tree. In the end, you will have to choose between three options to conclude the conversation:

  • Do nothing and have Boc finally disappear
  • Give Boc a Larval Tear, which he will use to be reborn as a human (but this eventually leads to his death)
  • Use the You’re beautiful Prattling Pate (obtained at Hermit’s Village, close to Mt. Gelmir)

Only if you use the third option will Boc stay around and continue to help you with your garments.

That concludes the Boc The Invisible Man quest in Elden Ring! If you need more assistance with this game, check out our guides like Why Is Ranni Not in Her Tower? or How to Get the Sacred Relic Sword.
