A playable Dragon Quest XI S demo is going to be released in the near future, Square Enix confirmed.
The demo, which will be released on a yet to be confirmed date, will allow players to experience the definitive edition of the latest entry in the series before its release next month. Additionally, all those who have the demo’s data on their console will be able to get a Skill Seed.
An extra costume for Erik has also been confirmed, and it will be offered as a download code given out with a certain book that has yet to be confirmed. How the costume will be distributed in the West has yet to be detailed.

Among the Dragon Quest XI S content not found in the original release are special quests that will bring the Luminary and his party to other worlds inspired by previous entries in the series. Among them will be a Dragon Quest X world.
Dragon Quest XI S launches on Nintendo Switch in September.
