Genshin Impact’s Midsummer Island Adventure: Part III is currently underway. And with that, we have a new story quest called Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying in Wait that takes us close to unlocking the water dome in the Southmost Isle in the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying in Wait Story Quest Walkthrough Guide
Here is the complete walkthrough guide for Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying in Wait story quest.
1. Return to Camp
At the start of the quest, players have to teleport to the Pudding Isle waypoint. As the first objective of Dodo-King of the Sea: Lying in Wait story quest is, “Return to Camp”.
2. Rest until the early morning next day(6:00 – 8:00)
After returning to camp, players have to wait till 06:00 to 08:00 in the next early morning. Use Paimon’s Menu –> Clock to change time. After that Barbara will wake you will have a chat with others.
3. Go to the location Barbara mentioned
Go to the nameless island.
You will find Kaeya and Diluc. They mention that they receive a similar letter from Dodo King. They also mention that Razor and Albedo are also in Golden Apple Archipelago.
4. Look for Albedo
Next, players have to look for Albedo on Twinning Isle. teleport to the waypoint and glide your way to the marked location.

After meeting and talking with Albedo, everyone realize that Razor might be on the Central Isle aka Maguu Kenki isle.
5. Return to Central Isle
Return to Central Isle and you will find Razor.
6. Insert the component to activate Inazuma device
Razor will give you an unknown component and will ask you to insert in the Inazuma device aka Maguu Kenki.
7. Defeat the awakened Inazuma Device
The Maguu Kenki will come to life and you have to defeat him to progress the quest.
8. Listen to everyone opinion
After you have defeated the Maguu Kenki, you get three crystals with different shapes and colours. This crystals are the key to unlocking water dome in southwest island.
9. Head to the island in Southwest (Water dome isle)
Teleport to the Water Dome Isle and Investigate the strange device.
10.) Go to the Gigantic Conch
Go to the gigantic conch and place the crystals to make them transparent. This will help in unlocking the water dome. However, you have to wait for Midsummer Island Adventure IV for that.
