Capcom has done an excellent job releasing some of its best games on Nintendo Switch in 2019, and things won’t be much different in 2020. Today, the Japanese publisher released one of the best action games that it has developed: Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition.

Unlike Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2, which launched with no additional features, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition features three new mechanics that are not available on the other versions of the game. On-the-fly Style Switching and full Weapon Switching make the game play like later entries in the series, giving players more combat tools to create flashy and devastating combos.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Nintendo Switch also introduces local multiplayer thanks to the enhanced Bloody Palace mode. In co-op, one of the players controls Dante, while the other Vergil. The two characters have separate health and Devil Trigger bars but the Style gauge is common to both players, which should make it easier to get to SSStylish pretty quickly.

Those who wish to play the game without any of these additions will also be able to do so, as the new mechanics are included in the new Free Style mode only.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is now available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
