On the series’ official Twitter profile, producer Matt Walker confirmed that Devil May Cry 3 on Nintendo Switch will have a little something extra. This is a way for the development team to show appreciation to fans who have been supporting the series for a long time.

We know that this game holds a very special place in all of your hearts, and so we wanted to show our appreciation. I guess you could say that we’re feeling a little motivated to add a little something extra that we think you’re all really going to like

As for what this something extra is going to be, Matt Walker didn’t say much, only teasing additional reveals for January 16th, January 30th and February 13th. Thanks to a new screenshot, however, we may have learned something new.

Judging from the changes to the interface, it seems like Devil May Cry 3 on Nintendo Switch is going to get the real-time style switching mechanic seen in Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5. This would be a huge addition that would make Devil May Cry 3 on Nintendo Switch the definitive version of the game.

Devil May Cry 3 launches on Nintendo Switch on February 20th worldwide.
