Best Dachsbun Moveset for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Get all the best moves available with the right Dachsbun moveset and win every battle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

If we could choose just one Pokémon to keep as a pet in real life, Dachsbun would be quite high on our list. This cutie was introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and got everyone’s attention right away.

Evolving from an equally adorable Fidough, this Fairy-type Pokémon is not all about looks. Dachsbun has some great Defense stats and useful moves and abilities that would be an asset in many a raid.

Best Dachsbun moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

While Dachsbun can learn numerous moves (either by leveling up or using Technical Machines), we came up with a moveset that should bring you the best results in most cases. The best moves for Dachsbun in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are:

  • Misty Terrain
  • Charm
  • Helping Hand
  • Play Rough

Misty Terrain (TM 139) is a great TM effect that keeps all grounded Pokémon from status conditions. It is also extremely useful against Dragon-type Pokémon, as it cuts the damage from their attacks in half for five moves.

Charm (available at level 42) brings down the opponent’s Attack stats by two levels, and Helping Hand (TM 130) significantly increases the power of your partner’s moves.

Dachsbun is not just good as a supporting act—use Play Rough (available at level 18) to deal some damage to your opponent, with a 10% chance of your enemy’s Attack going down by one stage.

Of course, the best moveset depends on the Pokémon you’re fighting, so you might want to tweak our list a bit here and there. For example, if you want to win against Charizard in 7-star Tera Raids, you can try replacing Charm with Yawn. Still, the above list of moves get you quite far whenever you choose Dachsbun.

Dachsbun comes with a great ability called Well-Baked Body, which makes it immune to the moves of Fire-type Pokémon. Even better, if hit by a Fire-type move, Dachsbun’s Defense goes up two levels.

You can also strengthen your Dachsbun by equipping the Ability Shield, which prevents your enemies from changing the Well-Baked Body ability.

Let us know how this moveset is working for you in the comments, as well as any improvements you may have made.
