Last week, it’s been revealed that the Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection, which will include Assassin’s Creed IV and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, may not include both games on cart in Europe, requiring players to download Assassin’s Creed Rogue separately.
Ubisoft has yet to confirm or deny the information, but it seems like North American players won’t have to download any game separately.
A ResetEra forums member contacted Ubisoft support on Amazon, asking about the matter. According to the support rep, both games will be on a cartridge.
This is definitely weird, as North American and European releases are virtually identical. In this case, however, the additional language options included for the European release may make it impossible for the two games to fit in a single cart.
The Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection includes, as already mentioned, Assassin’s Creed IV and Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
The two games are considered among the best entries in the series, featuring, for the first time ever, naval gameplay mechanics which expanded the experience considerably.
The two games also have some heavy story connections, so playing both of them will allow players to learn more about the story of Edward Kenway, main character of Assassin’s Creed IV.
Assassin’s Creed The Rebel Collection releases on December 6th on Nintendo Switch
