Apex Legends has been in the works for Nintendo Switch for a good while, and it everything seemed to point at a February release for the popular battle royale game. This, sadly, will not be the case, but thankfully the wait is not going to be much longer.
Publisher EA confirmed that Apex Legends is releasing on Nintendo Switch on March 9th, a few weeks after the beginning of Season 8. To help Switch players catch up with everyone else, they will be granted 30 free levels for their Season 8 Battle Pass as well as double XP for the first couple of weeks following launch.
Apex Legends on Switch is promising to be a very competent port, as it has been confirmed that Panic Button, who brought several other games like DOOM and DOOM Eternal, to Nintendo Switch.
Porting Apex Legends to its smallest screen yet is a major achievement, and we couldn’t have done it without our friends at Panic Button. We’re very proud of what the team has been able to achieve with some smart optimizations for the Switch port to deliver a full-featured Apex Legends experience on the go.
Apex Legends launches on Nintendo Switch on March 9 worldwide.
