  • Sword and Shield – It is a simple yet effective combination of the sword and shield. It provides a lot of flexibility, and you can dash and slash through monsters.
  • Dual Blades – These are very simple and quick. You can slash monsters with excellent mobility. You can even activate Demon mode, which rewards you with powerful strikes in exchange for stamina.

Heavy Weapons

  • Great Sword – It is a big sword that offers extremely hard hits at the cost of being cumbersome to manage. It has a charge-based system, permitting you to 3 charges. The first charge attack is the mildest, while the last is the hardest.
  • Hammer – It is a heavy-hitting weapon that can knock down even giant monsters. You can time your hits to get the most out of it.
  • Lance – The lance is a giant stick-like sword that slows down your movement significantly.
  • Gunlance – The gunlance is a blend of lance and explosive device. You can cut through the monster and save yourself with your heavy shield. You can even blow up your gunlance, firing large shells at monsters.

Technical Weapons

  • Insect Glaive – It is a double-bladed staff combined with a Kinsect — an insect companion that assists you in battle. The insect glaive attacks very fast, and you can recall the bug to give yourself regular buffs.
  • Switch Axe – You can build up a charge by killing monsters with your Switch Axe. Once you have enough charge, you can switch your switch axe into sword mode, which deals great damage and uses up your charge meter.
  • Charge Blade – The charge blade is one of the difficult weapons in Monster Hunter Rise. To charge your weapon, you will need to deal damage; those charges will get accumulated in your sword, shield, and in phial containers, and then let it all out in one enormous blast.
  • Hunting Horn – The hunting horn can be a difficult weapon to master in Monster Hunter Rise. You need to play notes to deal damage. Each note relates to a song, which you can play to buff yourself and your partners.

Ranged Weapons

  • Bow – This isn’t your standard bow. It’s a shotgun. You have the option to shoot a batch of bolts up close or from some distance.
  • Light Bowgun – It is one of the simplest weapons in the game and works similar to a normal bow. You can combine different ammo types to deal damage to a monster from a distance.
  • Heavy Bowgun – The heavy bowgun has a longer range than the two other ranged weapons and deals serious damage, but for a cost. You need to charge your shots, and the longer you charge, the more damage you deal.
