The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles used to be extremely popular back in the 90s. They were pretty much everywhere: cartooncs, comics, all sorts of merchandise, and video games, of course.
Among the games based on the franchise were some side-scrolling beat’em up games developed by Konami which managed to capture the spirit of the franchise while offering incredibly fun experiences.
The Japanese company doesn’t hold the rights to develop Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles right now, but it seems like we will be experiencing the magic of the classic games very soon.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a new side-scrolling beat’em up clearly inspired by the classic Konami games such as Turtles in Time. Controlling the Ninja Turtles, players will travel to a variety of locations to battle the Foot Clan, Shredder and Krang to save the world once again.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has been announced for PC and consoles. While no mention of the Nintendo Switch has been made, it is likely the game will make its way onto the console, considering both publisher Dontnod and developer Tribute Games have supported the console. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
