Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 brings us Fortnitemares 2022, a 2-week long event for Halloween full of spooky locations and creepy zombies! The dead have risen and can attack you at any moment, so beware. One of the most surprising discoveries made during Fortnitemares is that the usually harmless chickens that roam the island have joined the realm of the undead! Zombie Chicken Locations in Fortnite Fortnitemares 2022
The zombie chickens in Fortnite are scruffy versions of their former feathered selves, and now coloured purple, blue and grey. As well as being broken-necked and weird-looking birds, they also attack on sight! You will now when there is a zombie chicken nearby because they squawk creepily, which becomes an undead chicken screech when they see you and run at you!
As soon as a zombie chicken spots you, they will charge beak first. Luckily they are just as easy to kill as regular chickens, and only do 2 damage per peck. The best weapon to use against a zombie chicken is an SMG or a shotgun, although if you want to kill them before they reach you then an AR would be fine.
There are no regular chickens during Fortnitemares, so these zombified versions are all you will find around the island. They can be found easiest in large green areas, on hills, and in grasslands. Their distinctive squawk will let you know you are in the right place!
