Like many other missions in the game, the Buried Barrels is pretty challenging and while completing a Secure Radioactive Material contract and looting four items from radioactive caches seems simple enough, it’s really not. So in this article, we’ll be guiding you on where to find Radioactive Caches in Buried Barrels mission Warzone 2 DMZ.

Warzone 2 DMZ: Buried Barrels Mission Guide – Where to Find Radioactive Caches

Starting the Buried Barrels mission requires you to open your tac-map and locate a Secure Radioactive Material contract which is obvious as it has a radioactive symbol. So simply ping it, find the phone and start the contract.

Afterward, your next objective is to find the Geiger counter. Now open your tac-map again and go to the location marked on your map to find the Geiger counter which will replace your Stims tactical equipment. You’ll need to open your tac-map and start looking for the radioactive cache in the area designated on the map as well.

So once you make it to the correct area, hold down the tactical equipment button to use the Geiger counter. This part is a bit tricky because the closer the number gets to 10, the closer you are to the radiation cache. But you won’t need a Gas Mask to complete this mission, so freight not.

Radiation caches are round silver-looking barrels buried in the ground and are quite large. Once you find one, be sure to loot everything inside of it and you’ll need to do that one more time to complete the Secure Radioactive Material contract and complete the Buried Barrels mission as a whole.

So that’s pretty much it. And as a reward, you’ll be given the SP-R 208 contraband weapon along with 7,500 XP for your hard work.
