Warriors of Waterdeep: PvP Guide

In today’s article we are going to go over the full PvP guide in Warriors of Waterdeep and help you learn everything there is to know about it. While it might be all random, there are still some things that you should know, so that’s why we are going to give you a detailed guide!

So, if you are ready to learn all about PvP in Warriors of Waterdeep, then let’s start with the very beginning:

Warriors of Waterdeep – What is PvP and how it works?

PvP is the mode you unlock relatively early game (around player level 3 or 4) and it will let you battle other players’ characters. It selects 4 random characters out of the ones you have unlocked, and it doesn’t really matter which ones you have selected for your team (just the ones you have unlocked matter).

If you have worked hard to put together a team which synergizes well, then I advise you to keep your calm and hold your nerves in check because the game just doesn’t care about that in the PvP mode.

Since all of the players you will battle will have randomly assigned heroes, you should consider the fact that the game might give your opponent better heroes than you.

This could happen (and am pretty sure happened to many people), and that’s why I suggest that you have unlocked 1 extra healer other than Halbenet (the default) because that will greatly increase your chances of not getting completely obliterated without a chance to recover.

Warriors of Waterdeep – How to win in PvP battles?

Here I am going to give you a few tips on what you can do to never have issues when it comes to Battle Mode (PvP).

First things first, you should unlock heroes which are overall powerful, but can also bring a lot to the table, such as Calliope (for heals), Farideh (for crowd control), Halbenet (for heals). The tanks can also work well, because both Raika and Tommus have a taunt which can be pretty good if they are well-geared.

Secondly, you should consider a good damage dealer. Of course, all of the heroes deal damage – some, more than others- but the important part is that if you get your main damage dealer, it could as well be game over for the enemy. I prefer Saarvin and Shevarith (she is my main damage dealer in the dungeons), but all of the heroes do damage.

Thirdly, you need to equip all of the heroes as best as you can and always have them leveling up. So basically, whenever your heroes get a new piece of gear, equip the best one and keep upgrading them to level them up (both the heroes and the gears).

By always keeping your heroes maxed out, whenever you get them you will not have any surprised such as getting a level 1 hero into a level 5 hero fight. I’ve seen in happen (not to me, to my enemies, because me – I always keep my heroes upgraded), so if you are one of the people who don’t like leveling up heroes, you should start doing it.

Another thing you should do is pick the healers when you can select to add a new hero to your team. This should help, even if just a little bit, because a team which has healers, has more chances of winning in PvP than one who doesn’t.

So my last thing I would like to remind you again is, keep upgrading all your heroes (yes, I am repeating myself because maybe you missed it before). Don’t try to run it straight down PvP mode whenever you get it available, and first farm a few coins to make a ton of upgrades.

The upgrades cost quite a lot, so you will need to farm dungeons over dungeons and level up and improve. When you do that, the chances of you winning in PvP too will increase because you will have better gears and better levels.

Warriors of Waterdeep – What do you get as rewards?

There are a few rewards you can get from PvP battles. For one, you will receive chests which take a bit to open, and they all contain coins and random gears for your heroes. There are a total of 4 chest slots that you can have and you can’t get any more boxes if the 4 slots are filled (so you need to wait for the boxes to open, or to open them instantly with Gems). However, you still get Trophies for winning – or lose Trophies for losing.

Another reward is for winning multiple battles, and you can see it in the top right corner. It is a box which gives you guaranteed a piece of better gear for winning 8 games. This is what you should be looking to unlock as much as possible, if you want to get good gears for your squad.
