As spotted by Spoopy Ninty, the latest Super Smash Bros Ultimate Spirit Board event comes with the usual copyright notices regarding third party characters. What is unusual, however, is the SNK copyright, which would make no sense if Terry, or any other SNK property, wouldn’t be included in the event.

This means that Terry may be released before the event begins, so between today and tomorrow, November 1st. Nintendo has yet to make an announcement on the matter, so we have to take this as mere speculation for the time being.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate received plenty of DLC characters already adding some very interesting fighting styles to the game. One of these characters, the Dragon Quest series Hero, is also one of the most controversial Super Smash Bros characters ever, as the character is powered by RNG mechanics that can make it difficult to deal with him. The other characters, while powerful like Joker, as more balanced and the competitive community has been more welcoming toward them.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
