The new update has been released to restore some content, complete body scan images, which has been removed after the game failed to pass Apple’s certification test the first time. The update also adds leaderboards for the game’s Endless Mode.

Lucas Pope, the developer of Papers, Please, confirmed on Twitter that the initial rejection of the game was a misunderstanding on Apple’s part, with the company suggesting to resubmit the game with complete content, which is getting added back to the game through today’s update. He also confirmed that Apple didn’t change their stance on the matter due to pressure, but only because it really was a mistake on their part.

Papers, Please iOS includes all the content of the PC version as well as a new multitouch mode and a new enhanced inspection mode that make playing the game on iPad quite comfortable.

Papers, Please is now available for purchase for iPad on the App Store. The game is a rather unique simulation game so make sure to check it out if you’re looking for something really unusual to play on the go.
