For those who are just getting started, here’s a little something that might help you better understand the game. Project XL is an anime-style fighting game, similar to many others (Project Jojo and King Piece to name a few). Here, you’ll create your character and then equip them with skills that you typically find in popular anime and mangas, and honestly, what is there not to love about that?

Below you can find an evaluation of every skill currently in Project XL. I took the players’ opinions into consideration, as well as my experience playing the game. So, let’s take a look at the best (and worst) skills to use in Project XL

S Tier breakdown:

You know how it goes. Some are the best and some are the worst. S-Tier skills are the best in the game. Even after the nerfs One For All Prime is still an extremely good skill to use. All in all, these skills are considered to be ‘meta’ currently.
A Tier breakdown:
- Blackbolt
- Insect Breathing
- Dimensional Travel
- Yami’s dark magic
This is the best alternative if you don’t have any of the S-Tier skills available to you. Yami’s Dark Magic is especially good in PvE, so you might want to give it a try if you are looking to level up fast. That said, all of these skills are very competitive in Project XL and can be deadly if you are skilled enough with them.
B Tier breakdown:
- Black Leg Style
- Cage Cage no mi
- Trump Card Goku
- Fierce Cion Prince Super Saiyan Vegeta
- Immutable Fighter Super Vegeta
- Determined Defender Goku
- Shadow Hokage Sasuke’s abilities
If S-Tier skills are considered to be 10/10, then B-Tier ones would be something like 6 or 5 out of 10. In other words, average. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t make them work if you really enjoy their playstyle. It’s just that you will have to work much harder to do so!
C Tier breakdown:
- Goro Goro no mi
- Moku Moku no mi
- Gura Gura no mi
- Pika Pika no mi
- Mera Mera no mi
- Tori Tori no mi
- Ichimonji
- Blaze
C-tier skills are nothing to write home about. Well, if you want to try out some of the One Piece-based skills, be my guest! But know this. They are not super competitive currently. Maybe a future game update will change things around, but as of now, they are not very impressive.
D Tier breakdown:
- Blazing KN Burning Spear
- Shock Fist
- Purple Flare
- Voice
- Shindai Rengoku (Simons Dark Magic)
- Pika Pika no mi (Gear 5)
D-Tier includes the worst skills currently in Project XL. Go ahead and try them out if you want to experience their gameplay, just don’t have high hopes.
