Up until now, Pokemon GO has been a separate experience from the main entries in the series, but the Pokemon HOME connectivity will make sure that your efforts in the mobile game will make a difference in other games as well.

As reported by Serebii, the Pokemon GO – Pokemon HOME connectivity is now live, but only for Pokemon GO Level 40 trainers. Thanks to this, it will be possible to bring Pokemon GO creatures into the Nintendo Switch games Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. While the feature is definitely limited for now, as it takes a while to reach Level 40 in Pokemon GO, it’s a step in the right direction to create a shared Pokemon ecosystem where dedication is always rewarded, no matter the game that is being played.

Pokemon GO is now available on iOS and Android worldwide. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, now available on Nintendo Switch, have been recently expanded with The Crown Tundra DLC.
