The latest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump confirmed that Hawkins will be among the new playable characters in the game. The character has been present in the story, although with a small role, before the big time skip, so it’s nice to finally be able to play as him.

The magazine also confirmed that the Yonkou Kaido will be included in the game, but only as a boss, presumably on the Wano Country stage. It’s not clear if he will be playable in any form.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 will cover the One Piece manga and anime storyline from the beginning until the latest arc set in Wano Country. Players will be able to relive the most important events of the story and take active part in the most exciting battles.

As the previous entry in the series covered only the first few arcs post time skip, we should expect returning character to come with updated movesets. The series is among the Warriors games featuring the biggest character variety, so it will be interesting to see what the development team will come up with.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 launches next year on Nintendo Switch as well as on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
