Ocean Legend is a pretty in-depth game for what was seemingly just an action sailing game, so there’s lots to do and manage here. Whether you want to fight pirates all day or become a commerce legend by trading with ports, our Ocean Legend cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide will show you the way!

Keep an eye out for drifters!

As you’re sailing the open seas, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for little item icons. These icons are drifting boxes of loot, and you can pick them up for yourself by tapping on them. Drifters contain helpful stuff like gold, items, and more, so don’t daydream when you’re sailing!

Level up your skills!

No matter how well versed you are at sailing, you’re going to get overwhelmed if you’re just relying on your cannons. For the later battles, you’re going to be swarmed by pirates so you’ll need to use your skills.

These powerful area-of-effect skills can deal immense damage to multiple foes, so you’ll need to make sure they’re upgraded. They only cost a little bit of gold to upgrade, so you should upgrade them as much as possible. Their maximum level is equal to your character’s current level.

Appoint your commanders correctly!

Commanders are your second-in-command allies. You can assign them to four different operating parts of the ship: Assault Commander, Controller, Gunner, and Commander. Each position boosts certain stats of your ship, but you can also boost them even further if you assign commanders that are proficient.

For example, the first commander you get is Florez. She’s a great Controller that boosts negotiaon chances when assigned to the Controller position. Be sure to know your commanders’ strengths and assign them properly!

Invest in your favorite ports!

Don’t try to invest in every single port you come across – you’ll run yourself dry quickly if you do! Even though the game loves to shower you in gold, mindless investing will make it all disappear pretty fast. Only invest in a port where you know you’ll be coming back often, or if they have items that you can only buy there.

Use your prestige to promote!

Once you get to Barcelona, you’ll unlock the Nobility feature. Nobility is basically the sum of all your prestige: battle, exploration, and commerce prestige. Battle prestige is gained by taking out pirates and mission enemies. Exploration prestige is gained by exploring the world and entering ports you’ve never been to before. Commerce prestige is gained by investing in ports and playing the market.

Once you’ve gained enough prestige, you can use it to level up your nobility. Your nobility improves your damage, defense, and health in battle. Be sure to do everything you can to increase your prestige!

That’s all for Ocean Legend. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
