The Mega Man series has had some very rough years recently, with Capcom refusing to release new entries in the series, but the dark age is now over following the release of Mega Man 11 which is not only an excellent platform game in its own right but also one of the best entries in the series in decades.
It looked like sales weren’t great, however, which is something that could put the future of the series in jeopardy again. This doesn’t seem to be the case, thankfully.
Speaking with Japanese website 4Gamer, the Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya confirmed that a new entry in the series is indeed in development, although he is keeping details secret for the time being, asking players to wait for an official announcement. Needless to say, this is more than enough to keep fans happy, at least for the time being.

The next Mega Man game to release on Nintendo Switch is the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, which will include six classic Mega Man games – Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3, and 4, Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent.
These are some of the best entries in the series, with the ZX games bringing the series further by implementing features taken from Metroidvania games: they may be different from classic Mega Man games, but they are still extremely good.
The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection launches on January 22nd, 2020 in all regions.
