If you’re a fan of MOBA games, there’s a good chance you know about Solstice Arena, a MOBA developed by Zynga which has been made available some time ago on the App Store. If you’re still playing the game, unfortunately, we have some bad news for you today.
Judging from an online petition that’s been launched recently, it seems like Solstice Arena is going to be shut down for good this August. The game has also been removed from the App Store, meaning that it’s impossible for new players to download and play the game.
As for the reason why the game is shutting down, it looks like the total number of users us to blame, as apparently there are only around 5000 active users, which is a rather low number for a game that’s also available on PC. Less users means less money from in-game purchases, making keeping Solstice Arena alive pretty much pointless for Zynga.
Solstice Arena is no longer available for download on the App Store, as the game is going to be shut down for good on August 12th. There are a few other MOBA games on the App Store, such as Vainglory and a few others, so you may want to check them out if you have been playing Solstice Arena and need another MOBA to play on the go once the Zynga developed game is gone for good.
Thanks, Touch Arcade
