The new tour is, surprise surprise, the New Year’s Tour. Alongside the many additional rewards that each and every tour offers, the new tour offers players the chance to race on the iconic Rainbow Road and unlock a new version of Lakitu that is just perfect to celebrate the beginning of a new year.

A new trailer has also been released to showcase the new event. You can take a look at it right below.

Mario Kart Tour has been going strong since its release last year. While the game did not release in a great state, Nintendo fixed most of the issues that plagued the game shortly after launch, making it a very solid mobile racing game that every fan of the series will appreciate, despite in-app purchase not being particularly fair.

Mario Kart Tour is now available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store globally.
