However, the road to greatness is not easy. Legend of Slime features many RPG elements, including different weapons, skills, and companions that you can upgrade as you go, and juggling between all these gameplay mechanics can be distracting for a beginner. Fear not, because we present you with the ultimate Legend of Slime strategy guide, with all the tips, cheats, and tricks you will need.

Legend of Slime – The Basics

When you start playing the game for the first time, you might be overwhelmed by all the options that you see on your screen. Let’s break it all down.

Legend of Slime – How to Improve Stats

Right below the section where your slime warrior charges toward countless enemies, you can see several different stats that can be upgraded using coins. The more advanced you want to go, the higher the price, of course.

Those stats include:

  • ATK – the basic attack power
  • HP – hit points (or your “health”)
  • HP Recovery – health regeneration (but it doesn’t work in battle)
  • ASPD – attack speed
  • Critical Hit Chance – odds of getting in a critical hit
  • Critical Hit Damage – bonus damage that starts at 120%
  • Double Shot – unlockable later; allows you to shoot two projectiles
  • Triple Shot – unlockable later; gives you the power of shooting three projectiles

You will need to pay attention to upgrading these constantly if you want to progress as you face more and more challenging enemies, so don’t shy away from investing your coins into these stats, with ATK being, pretty much, the most important.

Legend of Slime – Gear, Skills, and Companions

Another way to become more powerful is to equip your slime with a weapon and armor. To get pieces and upgrade them, you will need to collect another in-game currency – purple gems – and use it in a gacha-like system.

Don’t hope for any fancy gear – at least, not at first – but the basic-level stuff weapons and armor are not to be discarded easily. Even when you get duplicates, they will merge and enhance your items, which is a useful way to level up your stats and defeat enemies that gave you trouble.

Skills work similarly. When you get them by drawing, equip them in available slots – the more you progress, the more slots unlock. We found even the basic skills quite useful for defeating enemies, but make sure to use the Auto On button. You can always see your current skill tree right on top of your stats on the home screen.

Companions are cute little animals that follow your slime and bring active and passive perks. You draw and enhance them via the same gacha system, and they can also give you an upper hand in battle, so pay attention to equipping the best possible ones.

Legend of Slimes Gameplay

Legend of Slimes is an idle game, which means you won’t have to think too much about the fighting – your job will mostly be to figure out how to upgrade your slime and make sure that you can defeat bosses.

Your biggest obstacle will be the resources because all upgrades cost money. Your slime generates gold coins by killing enemies, but you will need to complete specific quests to get purple gems to improve your gear, skills, and companions.

Progression through levels happens automatically until you encounter a boss who is too strong for your current level. In that case, your slime will go back to the last conquered level and keep fighting enemies in the background, bringing in gold which you should use for improving your stats and/or gear until you’re ready to try your luck with that boss once again.

Since your success will depend on the upgrades you can perform, you will need a lot of gold coins and purple gems. Besides the automatic earning methods we have already mentioned, you can also try these:

  • Watch ads that pop up as flying chests
  • Raid special dungeons when you unlock them (you will first get access to Boss Rush and Gold Rush, so make sure to use those keys that you get from ads or daily quests to grind some more in the dungeons)
  • Complete various daily quests for rewards
  • Explore the mines after the stage 3-10 and find different valuable resources, including purple gems

And that covers our Legend of Slime strategy guide for beginners. We hope this article sets you up for success, so let us know how it goes.
