When you hear that the developers of Mucho Taco have launched a new game, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Especially since it’s a game about sacrificing people to please the Gods… all presented in the beautiful pixelated visuals 1 Simple Idea (the game’s developers) are masters of.

Titled Deus Cult: The End Is Near, the game is available on both Android and iOS as a free download and it’s worth checking out thanks to its unique approach and interesting gameplay.

Your goal is to carefully manage your money, faith, and souls tributes to appease the Eternal One’s rage; Indulge his will and mercy will be granted. Anger it and all hope for humanity would be lost. Makes no sense? Of course! But check out a teaser trailer below to see how cool the game really is:

Divided into levels that will challenge you to meet the requirements before the time runs out and micromanage your resources carefully, Deus Cult gets more and more difficult as you progress through the stages, proving that the virtual Gods are extremely greedy. And more difficult to please as time goes by.

You will have to micromanage the people, the money and the time, making sure that the impures (the people you will have to sacrifice) meet the requirements of the Gods. And you’ll have to do all these by watching out for plagues that decimate the population!

The game kind of flies under the radar right now, which is a shame because it looks incredibly good and has a unique gameplay that you will surely love. So do yourself a favor if you have a few minutes to spare and download it on the App Store or Google Play.
