Minecraft is no horror game, but the introduction of deep dark caves might change this fact. In 2020, Mojang Studios shared the first look of deep dark caves along with its creepy inhabitant, the Warden.
Warden is a blind mob exclusive to deep dark caves. Minecraft developers have talked about the Warden many times and unveiled many of its features. Warden’s strength goes beyond the power of two boss mobs, Ender Dragon and Wither.
Mojang has already released Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part II update. Some players might wonder if the caves are safe to venture into or is Warden lurking in there.

Is the Warden in Minecraft?
At Minecraft Live 2021, Mojang officially announced their decision to shift deep dark caves and the Warden to The Wild Update. As of now, the Warden is not available in Minecraft and is in development.
The Warden is now a part of Minecraft 1.19 The Wild Update releasing at some point in 2022. Players will find the Warden in deep dark cities, a new structure in deep dark cave biomes.
Developers have decided that the Warden won’t drop any item when killed. It is being done to discourage players from finding ways to kill the terrifying monster. The Warden is supposed to be a hostile mob to scare players away from deep dark caves.
