Triangle Strategy is among the most interesting tactical role-playing games released in recent times. The game features one of the deepest battle systems we have seen in recent times that allows players to gain a sound advantage not only by properly positioning their units but also by manipulating the terrain with magic spells.
With proper positioning, it is also possible to unleash the extremely useful Follow-up Attacks. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
How to Use Follow-up Attacks in Triangle Strategy
As mentioned above, proper positioning is extremely important in Triangle Strategy. All enemy units not only hit hard, but they are quite smart, so they will be going after units that have been placed in vulnerable positions. To take them out more quickly, you will need to be smart yourself, and position your units so that they can unleash Follow-up Attacks.
Follow-up Attacks are special attacks that can be unleashed by any unit if they are on the opposite side of the unit that is actively being controlled. If they are located right behind an enemy unit, they will also perform a critical hit, dealing more damage.
While this technique is pretty straightforward, when it comes to units using short-range attacks, there are ways to make it even more effective. If you position your mages and archers properly, it is possible to trigger Follow-up Attacks even with ranged attacks, if an ally is in position. This opens up a lot of interesting and effective possibilities, coupled with turn manipulation, that make it possible to obliterate strong enemies from afar before they can get close to your most vulnerable units.
As battlefields become more complex as you progress in the story, your strategies will have to as well. Use Follow-up attacks to your advantage, prevent the enemy from doing the same, and you will make it out of each and every battle alive!
