Unlike the previous entry, Dying Light 2 offers a more advanced gameplay system where players can do a lot of tweaks and upgrades to their weapons and other pieces of equipment to enhance their gameplay experience.

The Blueprint upgrade system—depending on the equipment—allows Dying Light 2 players to increase the number of items produced during a crafting process, their usage, efficacy, damage output, and other such parameters.

How to Upgrade Blueprints and Nightrunner Tools

You can upgrade Blueprints and Nightrunner Tools via the Craftmaster NPCs. To upgrade weapon mods or other blueprints, you need Old World Money and Infected Trophies. Meanwhile, to upgrade Nightrunner Tools, you need an additional item called Military Tech.

Once you are in any settlement, go and talk to the Craftmaster. In the Craftmaster menu, select the second tab that says “Upgrade.” You will find the upgrade options being divided into different sections, namely:

  • Nightrunner Tools
  • Accessories
  • Consumables
  • Weapon Mods

Explore the different sections, and based on your requirement, upgrade the Blueprint—you require the most.

Now, for Military Techs, you need to find and open Airdrops. You can re-visit an opened airdrop to get more Military Techs as we have seen them respawn. 

Dying Light 2 is an action-horror game available on Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC platform, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for later this year.
