How to Upgrade Weapons in Triangle Strategy

Unlike in other classic tactical role-playing games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre, in Triangle Strategy you cannot change your units’ equipped gear with the exception of two Accessories.

This, however, doesn’t mean that it is not possible to improve each character’s equipped weapon. Here’s how to increase any weapon’s rank, unlock additional abilities, and what you need to do so.

How to Upgrade Weapons in Triangle Strategy

All units in Triangle Strategy come with their own weapon that starts at rank 1 and cannot be switched out. To improve any weapon, you will have to find the correct materials and interact with the smithy inside your Encampment to improve their rank, which not only increases the base attack power but also grants you the chance to learn some very useful Weapon Abilities. Unlocking these abilities also requires items and coins, and the requirements will increase as you unlock more abilities for any specific weapon.

As unlocking every Weapon Ability in Triangle Strategy requires a huge amount of items that are not particularly quick to find, we suggest you focus on learning only the Weapon Abilities that best suit your playstyle. Upgrading any weapon to rank 3 should also be your priority, as the benefits for ranking up far exceed those of the Weapon Abilities of lower ranks.
