While both games do feature plenty of additional monster breeds that can be unlocked by completing certain tasks, it is undeniable that Monster Rancher 2 DX is the far superior game of the two in this regard, featuring multiple unlockable breeds that look and play great.

Here’s how to unlock one of these additional monster breeds, Bajarl.

How to Unlock Bajarl in Monster Rancher 2 DX

To unlock Bajarl in Monster Rancher 2 DX, you will have to make quite a bit of progress in the main campaign, as you will need to achieve Breeder Rank 8. Breeder Rank keeps track of your progression, so the only way to increase it is by playing the game normally.

Breeder Rank 8 isn’t the only requirement to unlock Bajarl, as you will also need to purchase all three house upgrades and two stable upgrades. Once this is achieved, you will be able to upgrade your house one more time on May 4, when Binto comes around. By spending 22,000 G, you will not only get your new house upgrade, but also the Bajarl Pot, which must be used when combining monsters to unlock the Bajarl breed.

As you can see, it takes some effort to unlock Bajarl in Monster Rancher 2 DX, but it will be well worth it, especially if just winning every tournament is not enough for you, and you want to experience everything the game has to offer.
