Even if you are playing Monster Hunter Rise solo, you will never be alone on the field, as you can bring Palicos and Palamutes with you to assist you in taking down the biggest and strongest monsters included in the game.
These buddies not only come with their own unique abilities, but they can also be improved by letting them train at the dojo. Here’s how to.
How To Train Your Buddies In Monster Hunter Rise
To train your buddies, you will have to access the Buddy Dojo. The Dojo’s options can be accessed in a couple of ways: you can either head over to Buddy Plaza and speak with Buddy Expert Shirubei or talk to your Home Caretaker. The latter method is definitely the fastest, as you will heading back to your Home often during the course of the game.
Once you are in the Buddy Dojo menu, you can start training any buddy who is currently not occupied, so it is not possible to train buddies that are in your party, or doing meowcenary work, and so on. To train unoccupied buddies, all you need to do is pay Kamura points to buy rounds. One round is consumed per mission, so make sure to buy as many rounds as you can to avoid having to redo the whole process often. For maximum efficacy, you should consume a Lagniapple, as it boosts earned EXP for all buddies in training.
