This month, Animal Crossing: New Horizons got bigger and better thanks to the release of the 2.0 update, the last major update for the game, and the Happy Home Paradise DLC expansion. This expansion introduces so many new things to the game, so many that it will take tens of hours to see and experience all of them.

To start the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC, you will obviously need to purchase the DLC and download it first. It can be purchased separately or it can be downloaded as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription that will also give you access to a selection of classic Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis titles.

After the DLC has been purchased and installed, all you need to do to start the expansion is load the game. As soon as your character leaves their home, you will receive a call from Tom Nook who will tell you to go to the airport to meet someone. Here, you will meet Lottie, who will hire you as the newest employee of the Paradise Planning Team.

To access the new content, you will have to head over to the Paradise Planning HQ, which can only be reached by taking a plane to the new islands. To do so, all you need to do is talk with Orville at the airport and pick the “I want to go to work” option. You will need to do this every time you want to access the new content included in the expansion.

Once at the headquarters, you will be able to decorate vacation homes, complete all sorts of jobs and enjoy some new activities. Now it is official: welcome to Happy Home Paradise!
