Developed and published by Kabam, Marvel Contest of Champions is a fighting video game set in the Marvel Universe. The game revolves around a standard, yet in-depth 2D fighting game, where you and an opponent face off on one of several arenas that function as a background setting. The developers have even added gifting as a gameplay mechanic, allowing players to gift items to other players on their friend list. But how to send a gift in Marvel Contest of Champions? Read on to know about the gifting mechanic and how you can send gifts in the game.
How to Send a Gift in Marvel Contest of Champions?
Gifting was added in Marvel Contest of Champions with Update 4.0, enabling players to receive and send gift items. However, players can only gift in-game items like Crystals and not Champions. This has been done to ensure player’s don’t cheat, and also so that users who share accounts don’t get an even greater advantage. While the decision of not letting players gift Champions has been met with a lot of outrage, it does make sense from a gameplay standpoint.
In order to send a gift in Marvel Contest of Champions, simply head over to the members tab in the alliance menu and you will notice a “Send Gifts” button. Tap on it and choose whatever item you want to gift. To send gifts you will need to purchase a Gifting Badge with real cash. Gifting Badges are purchased exclusively with packs of Units. Furthermore, you must be level 40 and have beaten Act 4 to gift. Here are some other things you need to know about gifts:
- Gifting badges can’t be earned, only bought.
- You can only send gifts to players on your friends list.
- The only items you can send as gifts are the items you buy.
- It doesn’t cost anything to send items except the cost to purchase the items you gift.
That’s all. Happy Gifting!
