Triangle Strategy is a massive tactical role-playing game where every choice made during both the story sequences and combat matters.
With the game featuring multiple story paths that change depending on the choices you make as Serenoa, saving the game is more important than in other role-playing games, as one of the choices you make may not have the outcome you expected, leading you down to a path you do not particularly like.
Here’s how to save your progress in Triangle Strategy and how auto-saving and quick-saving work.
How to Save in Triangle Strategy
Saving your progress in Triangle Strategy is quite simple, and it can be done pretty much every time you are not in combat or watching a cutscene. When you are on the world map, or inside your Encampment, the only thing you need to do to save is press the X button to open up the main menu, then pick the System option and then save. There are a total of ten save slots that you can use, which makes it easy to save the game at crucial points in the story to quickly access different story paths.
Alongside manual saving, Triangle Strategy also features an auto-saving system. After every cutscene, the game will automatically save your progress in a dedicated slot that cannot be manually overwritten. The single autosave slot means that every time a new autosave is created, the previous one will be automatically overwritten. Loading any other save, as well as loading the autosave, will delete the existing autosave.
There’s a third saving option in Triangle Strategy that is only available when in battle. Every time you leave the game while in combat, a quicksave will be created to allow you to resume from where you left off. Like for auto-saving, there’s only one quicksave slot, and an existing save file will automatically be deleted when it is loaded, as well as when a different save is loaded.
