Updating weapons make such characters as Catria, Navarre, and Caeda way more powerful. However, are they worth updating? Let’s find out.

The first thing you need to do is to complete the storyline to Chapter 13: Diabolical Bloodline and the Intermission: The Rite of Blades from Book I. When you have done this, you will get access to the Weapon Refinery. Navigate to it using the Ally Growth menu.

In general, characters have unique weapons. Therefore, you can not update weapons with doubled benefit. And to refine, you need 2 types of resources. The first is arena metal, which can be earned in the arena. The second is refining stone that can be obtained through quests, tempest trials, and other events. 

You can also earn these items in a set of weapon refine requests. However, these requests are available for a limited time. It makes resources invaluable, especially if you are a beginner. Therefore, you need to focus on one character.
