This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition can be a very challenging game, but there are ways to make the game much easier for those who are not particularly skilled in old-school side-scrolling beat’em up games. And if you are not afraid of a little cheating here and there, there is a very quick way to max out your characters and obliterate any enemy standing in your way.

Here’s how to max out your characters quickly in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition.

Complete Level One

The first thing you should do to be able to max out your characters quickly in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition is complete the very first stage. Doing so will give you quick access to Delicious Cup, a coffee shop that sells a variety of items that restore your health and grant a variety of different bonuses. Purchase any and head out of the shop.

Near-Death Experiences Pay Off

Once outside of Delicious Cup, you must input the classic Konami code – up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right and block. By inputting the code, you will lose all your health but you will gain 50$. By repeating this over and over, you can farm money very easily right from the beginning of the game.

Videotapes Hoarding

By repeating the above procedure over and over, you will be able to amass enough money right from the get-go to pay off Scott’s late fees at the No Account Video shop and unlock the ability to purchase a variety of items. The two you should focus on purchasing are the Seven Shaoling Masters tape, which boosts each stat by 10 points, and the Alone and Disturbed tape, which grants you 1500 XP points. Farming money and buying these tapes over and over will let you max out any character with a little patience, making the entire game almost trivial.
