In total, you need 13 hearts to pull and collect the Master Sword. Make your way to Korok Forest and go to the alcove that’s on the right of the big tree. This is where the sword rests. It’s a huge game changer, as it’s the only weapon in the game that can’t break. Instead of breaking, it will simply not be available to use for a while as it recharges – even the weapons of the goddess Hylia need a nap once in a while!

The Cheat Way For The Master Sword

Now, you have two options – you can keep grinding shrines until you get enough hearts, perfectly fine. But in the world would put yourself through that when you can use a method that’s faster and much less annoying? For this, you’ll need to head on over to Hateno village. Near Firly Pond, you’ll find a mysterious statue with horns that look like the goddess statues but is clearly different. This is because it’s not a goddess, it’s a demon that you can make deals with. By talking to him, you can trade in your hearts (and rupees, make sure you’ve got the coins) for stamina or vice versa. Therefore, you can forfeit a little bit of your stamina in exchange for hearts and possibly get up to the number of hearts you need, it absolutely works! The best part is that later on you can trade back the hearts for the stamina after you get the sword.

Once you’ve got enough hearts, just head back to Korok Village and claim your prize! The sword is surely happy to back with its hero again!
