Being a gacha based roleplaying game, Genshin Impact offers a plentitude of in-game currencies like Mora, Sigils, Primogems, Genesis Crystals, Masterless Starglitter, and Masterless Stardust. The first two are basic currencies, while the remaining comes under the category of special currencies of Genshin Impact.

In Genshin Impact, the Masterless Stardust or simply Stardust is obtained via Wishes. Players get around fifteen stardust every time they roll a three-star weapon. Moreover, the stardust is used to buy the two different Fate’s from Paimon’s Bargain Shop. Each month players can get five Intertwined Fate and five Acquaint Fate using the stardust. And, that alone makes it a precious currency.
So, in order to get Stardust in Genshin Impact, players have to start performing wishes. And, now that you know about this special currency – you might get a little less hurt whenever you pull a Harbinger of Dawn.

At current, wishes is the only way to get Stardust in Genshin Impact. But, maybe in the near future, the developers may add an alternative way of getting stardust in the game. This has happened before with Acquaint Fate – yet another special currency that was obtainable using real money(one way or another). However, with update 1.2, an alternative way of getting Acquaint Fate’s was added in the game.
