In Genshin Impact, you can get the Sapwood Blade Sword by obtaining the Tale of the Desert from the NPC, Aravinay. He is a vendor-type NPC found in Mahavanaranapna, the dream version of Vanarana, Sumeru. He sells the weapon blueprint in the form of Tales that you can acquire using a currency called Stories of You and the Aranara.

You can get Stories of You and the Aranara by completing some selected world quests.
- Woodland Encounter – Aranyaka
- Varuna Gatha
- Vimana Agama
- Agnihotra Sutra
To get started, go west of the Gandharva Ville, and you will find the NPC Rana surrounded by enemies. Defeat them, and you will trigger the world quest Woodland Encounter – Aranyaka.
Completing the entire Woodland Encounter questline will reward you with two Stories of You and the Aranara. Meanwhile, the other quests will reward only one. Also, you have to take on and complete the above-listed world quests in order. Else, you won’t be able to trigger them.

Once you have Stories of You and the Aranara, go to Aravinay and interact with him to open the shop menu. Get the Tale of the Desert. Once you have it, go to any blacksmith and craft the Sapwood Blade sword.
