Waiting for energy to be replenished in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a real nightmare. You do need a ton of energy in the game and it seems to magically vanish exactly when you need it the most. But in today’s article, we’re going to share some tips and tricks on how to get more energy in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery… and do it fast!
I still remember my first moments in the game, after meeting the charming Merula and fighting for my dear life with the Devil’s Snare… and I had no energy to do anything. Everybody goes through that first… and then similar moments will follow as you progress through the game.
So what can you do to get more energy in the Hogwarts Mystery game except for waiting for the meter to replenish?
Well, fortunately, Jam City and Portkey Games have placed a few things in the game that we can tap in order to get more energy. We’ve shared them in our free strategy guide for the game, but I’m sharing them with you below as well.
Just go to the indicated location and tap the right thing to get a random amount of free energy:
East Towers: The mirror (painting) to the left of the first door
West Towers: The Painting to the left of the Prefects’ Bathroom
Lower Floor West: The fire pillar to the right of the Great Hall
Dungeons: The house elf sleeping near the wall of the Kitchens
Castle Grounds: The stick that you will find by scrolling right.
There might be even more places where you can get extra energy from, so you should always take your time and tap everything as you never know what secrets they might hold.
It’s extremely important to know two things:
1. You can’t have more energy than the max energy, so don’t collect the free one unless you are already low on it.
2. You should always collect the free energy BEFORE starting class or a quest because once started, an event like this can’t be paused while you go out searching for freebies.
The indicated items that you can tap in the game are not always there and it takes some time for you to be able to take advantage of again. Return often (every few hours) and they should be there, waiting for you to collect some extra energy to complete a class or save your life.
Do you know any other ways of collecting free energy in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery? If you do, don’t hesitate to share the methods in the comment section below.
