All About Gold Bars in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

Gold Bars can be spent on various items and services:

• Vending Machine purchases
• Donating to a Donation Station
• Hiring NPCs
• Upgrading weapons or fishing rods
• Purchasing exotic weapons from NPCs
• Purchasing items, ammo, weapons from NPCs
• Purchasing services such as rift activation from NPCs

How to Get Gold Bars

There are various ways to get Gold Bars, with many of these only giving a few bars at a time. However, if you use these methods consistently it is easy to rack up hundreds, if not thousands, of Gold Bars in a few matches. Here is a list of every way to gain Gold Bars, from least to most number of bars obtained:

Although sofas and washing machines only give a handful of Gold Bars it is worth going to specific areas where there are a bunch of them to destroy. There are 17 sofas at Camp Cuddle, for instance giving a total of 119 Gold Bars, while at Coney Crossroads one room contains 12 washing machines each dropping 7 Gold Bars, giving a total of 84 gold Bars. Easy money for a few pickaxe hits.

Completing a Bounty is the most lucrative and consistent way to earn Gold Bars in Fortnite, but it does hold some risk for your reward. Players must complete the bounty within 6 minutes, and only in that match. If your target is poached by another player you still receive Gold Bars, just a fraction of what you would get if you had tracked them down and eliminated them yourself.
