How to get Carapace Armor in Valheim

As aforementioned, Carapace is easily one of the most useful resources you can find in the game and apart from just finding it, you’ll also need a good amount of it. It’s also an integral ingredient in a variety of recipes that can be used to start working upon nearing Mistlands.

To make a full Carapace Armor set in Valheim, you need 55 Carapace, nine Scale hides, two Mandilbes, 10 Iron, and 25 Refined Eitr. You’ll also need a Black Forge built with its Black Forge Cooler upgrade.

So if you’re searching for Carapace, head to the Mistlands biome, a location that has your random chance of appearing in your world but is usually in the outer regions of your world, not very far from where Mountain and Plains are.

Once you get there, find the Seeker, a massive creature that occasionally spawns in the Mistlands and spawns even more often inside Infested Mines. Now, whenever you defeat or kill a Seeker(s), there’s a very good chance of them dropping their Carapace which you can pick afterwards.

After picking it up, you can use it to make different unique armor pieces using Carapace as the main material. So once you’ve gotten your hands on enough Carapace, be sure to bring them back to your base and use the Scale Hide to craft it.

Your need for Carapace encourages you to explore different Infested Mines across Mistlands because Seekers appear more often in these locations. However, before crafting the Carapace Armor, be sure to have a solid one on you whenever you’re battling Seekers as they can be vicious.
