In Elden Ring, you can power up your character in a lot of different ways. You can use Runes to level up and increase your attributes, you can enhance your armaments and you can equip Talismans that grant a lot of very useful buffs.

While all these things were possible in the Dark Souls series, Elden Ring features additional mechanics, the Great Rune mechanics, that allow you to benefit from some more useful buffs.

How to Equip and Use Godrick’s Great Rune in Elden Ring on Steam Deck

To equip Godrick’s Great Rune, you will first have to get the Rune itself by defeating the demigod. He is the lord of Stormveil Castle, and defeating him will not be easy if you attempt to fight him without having explored the Limgrave area and obtained additional armor pieces, Spirits, armaments, and so on.

After you have defeated Godrick, you will get his Great Rune, but you won’t be able to use it, as it must first be activated. To do so, you will need to head to the Divine Tower of Limgrave, which can be reached from Stormveil Castle.

Once Godrick’s Great Rune has been activated, you can use it by equipping it at any Site of Graces and then using a Rune Arc. This Great Rune increases all attributes, so it is extremely useful, and among the best available in the game.
