How to Complete the Birds of a Feather Sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V

Completing the many sidequests available in Shin Megami Tensei V isn’t required to complete the game, but it can be a rather big help.

If you do decide to help these demons solve their troubles, you will receive not only additional EXP, which is always welcome in a game as challenging as this, but also some special items like Talismans that unlock additional Magatsuhi Skills.

Here’s all you need to know to complete one of these sidequests, the Birds of a Feather sidequest.

How to Complete the Birds of a Feather Sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V

The Birds of a Feather sidequest can be started by speaking with the Caith Sith demon in the Fairy Village. Use the Leyline Fount to warp to the village, and the head to the location highlighted in the map above.

After speaking with the Caith Sith, you will have to head to Tennozu Isle to speak with a Koppa Tengu in the area, who will ask you to find a Giant Bird’s Feather. You can find the Koppa Tengu in the location highlighted on the map below.

To get the Giant Bird’s Feather, you will have to get to the southeastern part of the Container Yard, and climb on a few stacks of containers to reach the highest place, where a Thunderbird will eventually appear. This demon is weak to Force skills, so make sure to bring demons that can use this type of skill to have an easier time. Thunderbird also uses Force and Electricity skills, so avoid bringing demons weak to these elements.

Once Thunderbird has been defeated, it will drop the Giant Bird’s Feather. Bring it back to the Kopa Tengo on Tennozu Isle to get 9,000 EXP as well as the Feng Huang’s Essence and complete the quest.
