Genshin Impact Version 2.4 update, titled Fleeting Colors in Flight, introduced Enkanomiya, a new underground area beneath the Watatsumi island of Inazuma. After reaching Adventure Rank 30 and completing The Still Water’s Flow quest, Genshin Impact players can enter Enkanomiya.
As players enter Enkanomiya, the ‘From Dusk to Dawn in Byakuyakoku’ quest will start. This world quest takes players on a journey to explore the mystical Enkanomiya. While playing the quest, players will meet a mysterious character named Enjou and explore “Palace Below the Depths” together.
Unfortunately, the interesting NPC turns out to be a member of Abyss and transforms into Abyss Lector. As expected, our beloved traveler has no way left but to fight Enjou.

Defeating Enjou in Genshin Impact
The battle starts after Genshin Impact players descend into Dainichi Mikoshi. Before fighting Enjou, players will have to battle Bathysmal Vishaps. Because of this, it is recommended to build a team with high DPS output before going under Dainichi Mikoshi.
Since Enjou becomes Abyss Lector, who uses the Pyro element, players should bring at least one Hydro, Electro, or Cryo character. This is because Abyss Lector gains a Pyro shield after his health drops to the critical level.
Hydro characters are best for breaking Abyss Lector’s shield. Electro and Cryo characters also work well against the Pyro shield, but are less effective than Hydro. Anemo and Geo characters can also do the job, but they can take a long time to break Enjou’s shield.
Players should have a character in their team that can quickly cause reactions with the Pyro shield. Here are some recommended characters:
- Mona
- Kokomi
- Xingqiu
- Barbara
- Childe
- Fischl
- Yae Miko
- Ganyu
- Diona
- Ayaka
- Chongyun
Dropping Enjou to critical health should be easy if your characters are well built. The real problem is his Pyro shield. Playes will have to constantly apply Hydro to vaporise the shield and break it. Once his shield breaks, Enjou will teleport away, accepting its defeat in battle.
