When you’re investing in a life partner in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, it’s nice to get some context about who they are and their backstory. After all, you spend the entirety of your gameplay with this person as your spouse, so you want to make sure it’s somebody who you feel connected to.
You learn about the bachelors and bachelorettes through their heart events, which are little cutscenes you unlock as you get more friendly with them. These can only be activated at certain times and places. Here is how to activate heart events in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
How heart events work in Story of Seasons
Each character has four different heart events that come in multiples of two, so there’s a two-heart event, a four-heart event, a six-heart event, and then an eight-heart event. After you get to eight hearts with your chosen spouse, you can propose to them using the blue feather, which is the next heart event, so to speak.
Heart events are not required to get married, but depending on the answers you choose, they can be helpful in raising affection for said person. Since you’re supposed to get married by the end of the first year and some heart events have to be triggered by a certain time, it’s important to do these early.
Most of the early heart events involve characters coming to see your farm; all you usually have to do to trigger it is go outside your house. After that, they can sometimes be triggered by finding the person at home, at the café, or wandering around town. Keep in mind that some can only witnessed at certain times; for example, if there’s one that takes place at the café, chances are it won’t trigger until after 7pm. Weather can also come into play sometimes.
There are tons of potential partners to choose from in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, so pick your favorite today!
