In Genshin Impact, exploring The Chasm and all the surrounding areas introduces the player to new types of materials and also unlocks new gadgets and mechanisms that will help you through your mysterious underground journey.
During The Heavenly Stone’s Debris World Quest, there are a set of mechanisms that you need to activate; however, you will notice oozing, sticky substances surrounding them that are preventing you from activating them. Do not fret though, because in this guide, we will let you know exactly how to activate all the three mechanisms. Read on ahead for all the details!
How to Activate the Chasm Mechanisms in Genshin Impact
Due to a slimy purple substance called Oozing Concretions, the three Chasm mechanisms have been put out of operation. So, accordingly, you’ll need to use the Lumenstone Adjuvant gadget to eliminate the Oozing Concretions encasing the mechanisms.
You may have to level up the gadget to level 2 or higher if you find that you cannot remove the substance surrounding the mechanisms. This requires Lumenspar and Lumenstone Ore, both blue-colored materials found in the Underground Mines of The Chasm.
Once you have collected the required materials, go to Jinwu’s camp and refine your Lumenstone Adjuvant to Level 2. After that, head to the mechanisms, use the gadget to destroy the Oozing Concretions, and activate the mechanisms. You will have to face enemies while activating them, so make sure you have enough HP to beat them.

A cutscene will begin after that, following which you will have to defeat Abyss Herald and Geo Slimes. Then, simply talk to Zhiqiong to complete the quest!
