Genshin Impact was one of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful roleplaying games of the year 2020. Being a gacha-based live service game, Genshin Impact always keeps it huge player base intact with a continuous supply of new content that comes in the form of new playable characters, weapons, events, story quest, new locations and a lot more.
The player count and current active players numbers are some of the data that are not available to the public(officially). But, there’s no doubt that even after four months of Genshin Impact’s official release on PS4, PC, Android, and iOS platforms, the player base, and the community remains as active as they were before and after launch. The game discord server even managed to reach the limit of maximum users in a month after Genshin Impact’s launch.

So, now the question remains how many players does Genshin Impact has across all platforms. And, how many people still play Genshin Impact. Of course, we will be using estimates and recent known player count data using the number of downloads and other known facts to get an overview of the Genshin Impact player count.
How many players does Genshin Impact have
As of now, Genshin Impact is available on five platforms, namely PS4, PS5, PC, Android, and iOS. And, based on the Gamestat website’s last report taken on November 19, 2020, Genshin Impact PS4 players count was around 5.84 Million. With 1.54 million new players and 810K returning players.
By using October and November months data, and keeping the PS5’s launch in mind, we can give an estimate, that by now, Genshin Impact will have around 7 Million plus players on both PlayStation consoles, combined.

In Google Play Store, Genshin Impact has around 11 Million downloads(10,94,189 downloads to be precise). Also, during the first week of release, Genshin Impact had 17 million mobile downloads(Android and iOS combined) and by Android and iOS download would have reached around 22 to 30 Million downloads.
Now as for PC player count goes we do not have any factual data to even estimate a number. If the game was available via steam, our work would have been a lot easier, but since Genshin Impact uses its own launcher we can just put a random estimate. We know many players and streamers use the PC platform to play the game, also we know that Genshin Impact had over 10 Million pre-registration on PC and Mobile. So, we would say that Genshin Impact has atleast around 5 to 10 million players on PC.

Also, Keep in mind that all these data and estimates(apart from global pre-registration) exclude the Chinese download counts of Genshin Impact.
Keeping the aforementioned estimated downloads in mind, we can say that Genshin Impact has around 47 million players, and including the Chinese player counts the Genshin Impact player count increases to 60 to 80 Million players and even more.

Download numbers and active players for any game are not the same. And, since miHoYo has not officially revealed Genshin Impact concurrent players count. All we can do is give an estimate. And, by going with the above Genshin Impact total player counts/downloads, we can say that more than 30 to 40 million players play Genshin Impact on a daily basis.
