This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Ancient tombs full of valuable treasure… it is the story that attracts the attention of all would-be adventurers. Fancy yourself a plucky little spelunker? Take the challenge in Tombshaft, a new arcade platforming adventure where YOU are the daring explorer looking for treasure!

In Tombshaft, players take control of an adventure that is seeking legendary treasures. The game is an auto-scrolling vertical platformer, so you will need to hurry down the shaft lest the walls take you.

Tombshaft takes the simple platformer concept and adds a treasure hunting twist to it. Search for coins and buried treasure as you delve deeper and deeper into the tombs, and make sure to keep out for magical genies. They just might help your cause out!

The game is procedurally generated, so no two runs will be the same. The tombs are always shifting, so you will need to be on your toes to dodge all of the deadly traps that lie in wait.

If you are feeling a little more fancy, you can take those hard earned coins of yours and unlock new characters, complete with their own unique look. Who knows, you might even encounter a few familiar faces…

Tombshaft will launch on the App Store on August 22, 2019. An Android version is coming at a later date.
