It took over three years and eighteen in-game seasons for Respawn to finally introduce cross-progression to their widely popular and commercially successful battle royale, Apex Legends

With the arrival of Apex Legends Season 19, “Ignite,” EA and Respawn have confirmed that the game now supports cross-progression. Albeit, even though the update has been out for almost a week, at the time of writing, many players haven’t been able to get started on it.

So keep reading as we talk about how you can get cross-progression in Apex Legends and other related topics.

When it comes to cross-progression in Apex Legends, all you need to do is update the game to the latest version and wait until you get the “Welcome to Cross Progression” pop-up. Once that happens, you can check the prompt and the Cross Progression FAQ to learn about it, or simply click on the “Continue” button to initiate the migration.

Cross Progression was introduced in Apex Legends with the Season 19, “Ignite,” update, rolled out globally on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at 10AM PT. But it is being rolled out in phases to ensure smooth migration because the devs already have many gameplay-related issues to fix, and rushing things would mean more errors and late fixes.

That being said, if you haven’t got the Cross Progression prompt until now, all you can do is wait. Thankfully, even if you don’t initiate the cross-progression prompt, the game will auto-migrate and merge all your accounts automatically, which is a good thing for players who don’t log into the game every single day.
